Gentle Yoga (1.5 hour class)

Our Gentle Yoga class is for those who need to stretch and strengthen tight or damaged muscles and joints with patience and care. In this slow and gentle practice, students learn to breathe more deeply, and connect the movements of the body to their breath. Through gentle guidance and the aid of chairs, bolsters, and other supportive props, students will gain an increased sense of freedom and well-being. This class is appropriate for seniors.

Aerial Yoga (1.5 hour class)

Aerial yoga incorporates many of the same yoga poses that you find in a regular yoga class with some additional benefits. The silks allow you to move deeper into stretches and strengthen your core and upper body as you lift and pull yourself through the various poses. The silks also allow you to experience a sense of weightlessness, or floating, in savasana. If you are new to yoga in general, we recommend that you take Intro to Yoga before trying Aerial Yoga, as it is an advancement to your yoga practice. If you are unsure if you are ready to take Aerial Yoga, please ask your yoga teacher.

Pilates Mat Class (1 hour class)

Interested in strengthening your core, increasing your mobility, improving your coordination and control, and building long, lean muscles? If so, Pilates is for you. Our classical Pilates mat classes are taught to the level of the students in attendance. Whether you are a beginner or have been practicing Pilates for years, you will be challenged in this one-hour class.

*We can modify for most injuries. However, if you have a severe injury, such as herniated discs, we recommend you take Private Pilates sessions rather than a group mat class. If you are unsure if this class is appropriate for you, please contact us to discuss your injuries before signing up.

Kettlebells and Cardio (1 hour class)

This class utilizes kettlebells, ropes, and other props to give you a full-body workout that strengthens muscles, burns calories, and challenges your stamina. The interval training approach gives you a great cardiovascular workout, while keeping the class interesting. Whether you are looking to lose weight, build muscle, tone up, or are just bored with your current cardio routine, this class is for you.

*You must take at least one private session to learn the proper technique for utilizing kettlebells, before you can join this group class. This is for your own safety, as well as the safety of the others in the class. Please contact us to schedule your ‘Intro to Kettlebells’ private session.
**This class is for healthy bodies only. If you have an injury, it is not recommended that you use kettlebells, however, we will discuss this on case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your options before you sign up for the ‘Intro to Kettlebells Session’.

Tower Class (1 hour class)

A full Intermediate Pilates class utilizing the Tower Apparatus (a.k.a. the wall unit). The Tower offers a system of springs and bars that provides you with resistance and assistance throughout a series of mat and apparatus exercises. Before being allowed to take this class, you must take a minimum of 5 private Pilates sessions and have an intermediate level of understanding a physical ability. This is for your safety and the safety of the others in the class.

Private Pilates Sessions

If you are new to Pilates, we recommend that you start with private sessions. The use of the Pilates apparatus, coupled with one-on-one instruction, has proven to be the safest and most effective way to introduce a client to Pilates. During this 55 minute session, your teacher will guide you through exercises on multiple apparatus (i.e. Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chairs) which will help you to feel and understand the Pilates technique, while giving you a challenging full-body workout that is tailored to your needs. The apparatus provides assistance to help you work each exercise more efficiently and correctly, while at the same time providing resistance to increase stamina and strength.

Some clients prefer to continue with private sessions long after they have progressed past the beginner exercises. However, once you have learned the basic principles of the Pilates method and are able to safely transition the apparatus on your own, you may move to semi-private sessions. Please discuss with your teacher if you are interested in moving to semi-privates.

Semi-private Pilates Sessions

A semi-private Pilates session is a 55 minute session on the apparatus, with one teacher and two to three clients. As in a private session, the workout is tailored to each client’s individual needs. Therefore, all clients may not be doing the same exercises at the same time. Before you can begin participating in semi-private sessions, you must have knowledge of the basic principles of the Pilates technique, as well as, experience with the apparatus so that you can safely transition between exercises without the help of a teacher.

Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga sessions are between 60 to 90 minutes long, and are tailored to the individual’s specific needs. Prior to the first session, a comprehensive intake form should be completed and any pertinent medical records will be requested. During the first session a physical assessment will be done and, working together, the teacher and student will define a plan of action. Each session may include yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation. At the end of class, the student will receive a personalized home practice. Each subsequent session will build on the one before, tearing down the blocks and moving toward greater health and wellness.

Intro to Kettlebells

Before you can take a group ‘Kettlebells and Cardio’ class, we require that you take one private Intro to Kettlebells session. This is for your own safety, as well as the safety of the others in the class. During this 55 min session, you will learn the basic terms and exercises, as well as, the proper technique for utilizing kettlebells in your workout.

Cancellation Policy –

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a Private/Semi-Private Pilates, Yoga, or Kettlebells session. Should you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged in full for the session.
